Self-Care Mummy Blog Series - Week 25
/This New Year I’m talking all about Self-Care as a mum and how important it is to take that time for us. Every week I’ll be bringing you a new guest blog post with some top tips and hopefully throughout the next few months we’ll have put together an amazing list of different ideas for self-care.
This week is Marta Conte.
Tell us a bit about yourself - who you are, what you do and a bit about your family:
I am Marta, I am Italian but I have been living in London for the past 14 years. I live in London with my husband Max and our daughter Ali. After having Ali I set up my own business and now
I run a cookery school for toddlers, children and parents.
What do you do for self-care as a mum and how do you make time for self-care?
Cooking is what I love most, it relaxes me and helps me to stop thinking about everything all the time. So it’s lucky that’s I get to do why I do for a living. Finding time for yourself it’s really hard when you juggle a business and family but I always try to get a little me time in the evenings before bed by reading a good book or Sunday mornings with a relaxing bath to start the day.
What are your three top tips for self-care for mums?
Eat good food, a well nourish body can do wonders for the mind.
Take a break every day, even if it s just 10 minutes to do something for you.
Switch off from social media an hour before bed. Your mind will thank you for it.
Are there any products/businesses/podcasts ect that you would recommend for self-care?
