Self care at Christmas

Self care at Christmas - I mean how do you even find the time over the Christmas period to put yourself first when it’s just so busy? Well, because you NEED to!

Self care seems to have become quite a buzz word but the truth is, if we don’t look after ourselves no one is going to do it for us, and the end point could be burnout or being ill. I’ve been there and it isn’t nice!

So what I’m saying is, if you can make some time, even if it’s just a small amount of time, then you will feel the benefit!

Now I’m not talking spa days or anything that even has to cost any money! I’m talking about taking the time to read, have a hot drink, see a friend, listen to some music - all these simple activities that will have a huge impact!

We could even go much further and talk about how setting boundaries and saying no are forms of self care. And you’ll see these topics being talked about on the podcast in December with three episodes really focusing in on self care in the run up to Christmas.
