It's Ok to not do it all!
/I’ve definitely been neglecting my blog of late, in fact I’ve been neglecting writing about motherhood in anywhere other than on social media for the past few months as I’ve just not had the time.
I returned to my full time job two weeks ago, alongside Chris starting his new job last week and its definitely been a stressful few weeks. I’m only seeing Isabella for a few hours most days now which is tough and then I’m also trying to fit in some time for me, time to run Isabella and Us. and time for my husband, friends and family too.
But I slowly feel like we are getting into a routine that means I do have time to do all the things I enjoy and hopefully over the next month or so I’ll be feeling more on top of things.
One thing I’ve learnt over the past few weeks is something I recently posted on my Instagram page which seemed to resonate with a lot of you. It was about it being ok to not do it all and asking for help when you need it. I always felt like a failure when I had to ask for help, when I couldn’t manage everything on my own but actually I’ve come to realise that it is actually a strength to ask for help and to admit that you can’t do it all.
I’ve been thinking about how best I can not do it all on my own and that is simply just asking for help, asking for help with my business, asking for help at work and asking for help being a mum.
So if you do nothing else today I want you to remember that it is simply ok, its more than ok to ask for help and not do everything on your own. Its ok to say no and its ok to put your needs first!
